Jackson County Medical Care Facility is a 194-bed, Eden Alternative certified home where Residents, family members, and CarePartners are actively involved in their care decisions and lifestyle choices, creating a supportive home environment. We are currently seeking RN, LPN, and CENA candidates for Full or Part-time positions on second and third shifts.

Registered Nurses

As an RN, you would provide direct nursing care to the Elders in the Facility. You would also be expected to supervise the Certified Nurse Assistants to assure that the care is in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

New graduates and new nurses are welcome to apply!

Benefits:

  • No mandatory overtime for the first 60 days of employment!

  • Overtime on hours worked over 8 in a day or 80 in a pay period. 10 days of training guaranteed- great for new nurses

  • Competitive Wages starting between $27.59-$29.09 with no experience and from $28.15-$29.65 post probation. RN's with at least 3 years of experience start between $30.96-$32.46. RN's with at least 5 years of experience in long-term and/or acute care start between $31.39-$32.89

  • Want some extra hours? Pick up a premium shift for an extra $60 for a weekday shift and $80 for a weekend shift.

  • Flexible schedule.

  • Paid Sick, Vacation, and Personal time!

  • Earn a bonus of $2.25 an hour for all hours worked between now and September 30, 2021!

  • Defined Benefit Pension plan after 8 years of service.

  • Tuition Reimbursement up to $3,000 a year for approved courses after 1 year of service.

Licensed Practical Nurses

Requirements: Possess and maintain LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) licensure in the State of Michigan. Please include LPN License # when applying. If you are a graduate nurse, you must have your testing scheduled during your first 90 days of employment.

CENAs

As a CENA, you support the care and well-being of our Elders. You will provide direct care and personal care services to Elders in the nursing facility. You will assist with the Elder's mobility needs by assistance with transferring, positioning, and selected exercises as directed by the Nurse or Restorative/Physical Therapist. You will assist with feeding, complete all Elder records and reports in an accurate and timely manner. You will demonstrate the ability to organize and complete Eldercare activities as described in the Elder Care Plan and contribute to the professional standards of care. You will cooperate with other departments to heighten the quality of Elder care, contribute to effective Elder care by assisting Elder, families, and co-CarePartners to resolve expressed concerns and by demonstrating a positive and helpful attitude.

  • Want some extra hours? Pick up a premium shift an extra $25 for a weekday shift and $35 for a weekend shift. (Equivalent to $3.13-$4.38 an hour more)

  • Flexible schedule Competitive Wages starting between $15.41-15.91 and from $16.24-$18.82 post probation.

  • Earn a bonus $2.25 an hour for all hours worked between now and September 30, 2021!
